on June
This morning he and I woke up together. He did not have to leave early and I did not sleep too late.
We ate breakfast side-by-side, a rarity on any day other than Sunday, and he walked me to my car as I left for work before he did. There was a beauty in it all. A strangely different kind of morning.

I had expected this time of year to be hard.
The challenge of shifted plans and changed dreams. Disappointment and restlessness.
But, somehow, June has been rather glorious; new dreams have replaced old ones and life has settled into a peaceful sway that makes me want more of this and not less.
