because it has been a week for afternoon fires in the hearth.

for forming stiff peaks just as they were meant to; there is a metaphor in there somewhere.

because, even though I went a little overboard at Lowes, here's to hoping for spring.

and the whim that prompted me to grab it off the library display at the last minute.

for all the aforementioned reasons.
