joy to the world
There was a moment this season when I considered
refraining from sending out a Christmas card this year. It was an
almost-attempt to save on holiday expenses, but what was I thinking? My whole-hearted love of paper,
ink and anything that arrives by post, quickly overcame my few frugal fancies. So
here you have it: this years' Christmas card!
In years past, I have gravitated more toward hand-lettering or
sketches, but this year, the year of our many travels, it seemed fitting to
finally use a photo. The one we chose is slightly blurry, but altogether joyful
-- a self-timed snap of us atop Bla Bheinn on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
There are so many moments in life to be thankful for, and this photo completely
captures one of ours.
Merry Christmas to you all, friends! I have said it before, but
I would do well to say it again: To you who wander into this space regularly, I
am so very grateful. Wishing you a season of joy as you celebrate the birth of
our Savior.

PS. These cards were printed at home, but the design was modeled after Artifact Uprising's beautiful Holiday collection.
