Merry Christmas, friends!

Last year, a simple sketch became an all day, last-minute project. Lesson learned, I painted this small Christmas greeting and ordered postcards to  be printed well before Thanksgiving. Yet, somehow, I sat scribbling a few final notes this morning before dropping the last card in the postbox, three days before Christmas. I suppose, no matter how much you plan, time always gets away from you this time of year.

Our world has been green and warm this month, so we are looking forward to driving north and spending the holidays upstate where we expect a white Christmas. This space will grow a tad quiet 'til after the new year, but to all of you who stop by regularly (and comment occasionally), thank you. 

I tell myself that I don't do this thing called blogging just to acquire readers, but it sure is nice to have you here. Wishing you a season of joy as you celebrate the birth of our Savior.
